There are many Farmers' markets in Raleigh. The State Biggy, is the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Service's "Raleigh Farmers Market". This is the Big Daddy of all Farmers' markets. You literally need 2 hours to walk through all the stores, shops, and offerings. Make sure you take your time, as prices can vary wildly, and you don't want to spend $24 on 5 pounds of strawberries, to find out that you could have spent $12.

Open Mon-Sat from 5am to 6pm and Sundays from 8am to 6pm, this is well worth a 3 or 4 hour outting. http://www.ncagr.gov/markets/facilities/markets/raleigh/index.htm

Although the link above takes you to the website, it's a state government website chalk full of information that renders easy navigation useless. So, here's the address (which is extremely hard to find on the above website):

1201 Agriculture St, Raleigh, NC 27603, USA

If you prefer a 5 minute farmers market, try the North Raleigh farmers market. It's not government run and funded, so therefore it's quite small. http://www.northraleighfarmersmarket.com/directions.html

Website is easy to Navigate and easy to find - in the shopping mall parking lot off Durant and Falls of Neuse.
